We see donkeys for who they are inside.
Our Mission
Hear the BRAY is an organization dedicated to ensuring that donkeys receive the care, understanding, and training they need to thrive in their homes and prevent them from being rehomed.
For us, BRAY stands for “Building Relationships and Ass-istance for Ya’ll”, and we’re doing just that! Through compassionate and knowledgeable guidance (plus a lot of fun!), we work with donkey owners and caretakers to provide humane & effective techniques that create strong bonds and mutual success between humans and donkeys.
Together, let’s build a future where donkeys are cherished and understood as invaluable members of our communities.
About Us
Hear the BRAY is located in the small town of Littlefield in the far northwest corner of Arizona, about halfway between Las Vegas and Zion National Park. The beautiful Virgin River snakes through the area, creating a lush riparian corridor through the surrounding Mojave desert with endless opportunities to explore.
Led by experienced donkey trainer Tegan Heveran who specializes in 100% gentle training approaches, our goal is to create a safe, magical place for donkeys and formerly wild burros to undergo rehabilitation, patiently build trust, and receive the training they need to thrive in their adoptive homes.
We are proud to offer a range of services in donkey training and hoof trimming to support donkeys, their owners, and prospective adopters alike, including:
Donkey board & train on site in Littlefield, AZ
Mobile donkey training & trimming services in southern CA, northern AZ, southern NV, UT, and beyond
Virtual consulting
Donkey & burro adoptions
Donkey visits & educational programs
